“ Billesley Community Centre was closed on the order of Birmingham City Council inspectors who said a complete re-wire of the building was needed for safety reasons - but the council itself only offered a loan to help pay the bill. The community centre, which houses the Billesley Players, the Royal British Legion and a luncheon club, now has to look for at least £35,000 to get the building reopen.
